• ◆Hasbro case holding all 151 Kanto figures plus a bonus Togepi as the 152nd (MPN 57893, UPC 0076930578933). Sold at KB Toys in 2000. Listings that say “152” are the same product, not another edition.
• ◆Two editions exist: the regular one and the so-called “shiny”, which is the first run with changed colors — not an official shiny. 15 figures differ: Squirtle (green in the “shiny”, blue in the regular), Raichu (yellow/orange), Diglett and Dugtrio (brown/orange), Psyduck, Ponyta, Rapidash, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Seel, Chansey, Ditto (pink/grey), Eevee, Vaporeon (white/blue) and Porygon. Squirtle and Vaporeon have independent written sources; the other thirteen come from comparing both cases side by side.
• ◆Careful with prices: the thousand-dollar listings for the “shiny” edition are asking prices, and the ones checked have gone over a year unsold. There’s no public sales record; one collector says he sold a complete case for about US$1,000.
