Tomy MonColle “New Color Tone”
Same figure and same MC number, but from a different factory run with different paint. Each one is shown next to its standard version.
How to tell them apart
- • The mold and number are the same; only the paint changes. So the shape won't tell them apart.
- • Compare it with the standard: lighter or darker tones, a different eye color, or details painted differently.
- • James lists them under several names (“New Color Tone”, “Different Color Tone”, “New Tone”), but they are the same thing: another run with different paint. Here they are all called “New Color”.
- • Photos and lighting can mislead: the most reliable comparison is with both pieces in hand.
The listing follows James's database, TomyDatabase. See his collector profile.
