The rocklike shell is shed each year. The cast-off shell then crumbles, reverting to a mass of soil, which can be spread across fields to promote crop growth.

Tomy6
American red-lettering «Pokémon Figure Collection» blister card, with the dex number on the back. ©2001, «Distributed by Pokémon USA, Inc. Manufactured by Tomy». Sold at US retail (K·B Toys price sticker) and as singles on pokemoncenter.com at $3.95-4.95. Carries a Tomy JAN barcode, not a Pokémon USA UPC.
White stripe box (1-151, distinct manufacturing). Recolor documented between manufacturing runs (tomydatabase catalogs it as "color-tone variant"). The white stripe corresponds to one of these runs — the exact paint difference is a contribution from the physical collection (the website catalogs the existence, not the detail).
Number MC-65 was used by 4 different figures; besides this one, Mothim, Togekiss and Kricketune. The number doesn't identify the piece: check the species on the blister.
Zukan1
Pokémon Zukan (立体ポケモン図鑑): 1/40 anatomical figure, "RSE 3" set. Yujin.
