💡 Pikachu PEARL COLOR (パールカラー) — Toys"R"Us Japan «Pokémon Christmas Campaign» starting Nov 14, 2014: gift with purchase of ¥5,000+ (~$33 USD) in Takara Tomy Pokémon products (with ¥3,000+ (~$20 USD) they gave a jumbo Pikachu card). NEW sculpt «sitting turning back» (ふりむき/おすわり) debuted here in pearl finish; the normal-paint version came out LATER (7-Eleven's Odemashi BOX, Jul 2015) — a rare case of campaign before retail (and with the tail at a different angle). Print run undocumented. ✏️ CORRECTION: this entry previously said «Parker version / Toysaurus» — a mistranslation of パールカラー (pearl color) and トイザらス (Toys"R"Us).
