Read with care: an auction reflects what two bidders did THAT day — emotional bidding, speculative flipping and inflated prices happen, and condition (sealed vs loose) changes everything. Dated reference — not an appraisal, not investment advice.

💡 NOCTOWL SHINY (Ash's Noctowl) — the Tomy figure of the yellow anime Noctowl.
It came EXCLUSIVELY in the Pokémon Center "Anime Special Set" (Johto era, ~2001-02): a 6-figure blister — Cyndaquil, Pikachu, Noctowl (anime coloring), Totodile, Phanpy, and Bayleef. It was never sold individually at retail: the only way to obtain it was via the complete set.
Market (Yahoo Auctions, 2026): loose averages ¥36,024 (~$240 USD) with documented sales of ¥73,044 (~$490 USD) and a maximum of ¥79,000 (~$530 USD). The COMPLETE sealed blister is the greater grail — extremely rare appearances.
Documented in the "TOMY 1st edition complete blister collection" catalog by Fumazza Von Moofy (FvM/DMR, 2023) — photo of the complete blister (front and back with #dex 25/153/155/158/164/231).
