- Flooded with fakes (even stamped): Mantine is on the community list of Tomys flooded with bootlegs — and several fakes CARRY a Tomy stamp. On this figure, the stamp alone proves nothing.
- True rarity: Mantine rates "HTF" (hard to find) in the community 2nd-gen guide — one of the most hunted Johto figures. Cheap and "in stock" = suspect: real supply is tiny.
