• ◆The FIRST card design of the English Pokémon Figure Collection, and the only one not released by TPCi: the back reads “Distributed by Pokémon USA, Inc., New York, NY. Manufactured by Tomy.” — Pokémon USA was renamed TPCi in April 2009, and the batch stamps we've read are from 2008. Wikis rank it third (“Red”) and credit it with 12 figures; a physical lot of 60 blisters plus the card backs we've read prove at least 53 distinct SKUs, mixing Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh on purpose. And it was NOT “Pokémon Center exclusive”: the online store was closed from February 2008 to August 2014, so this was retail — which is why it turns up in Argentina and Mexico.
